Considered to be the most legendary athlete of all time, Michael Jordan paved the way for future athletes during his 15 NBA Season legacy. Having attended the University of North Carolina and played professionally for the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards, Michael Jordan embarked on a never-before-seen journey 25 years ago when he launched ‘Brand Jordan,’ which we now know as ‘Jordan Brand.’ This new legacy quickly grew across sports and culture as a whole in the fashion and performance industry. Its significant cultural weight in streetwear culture is highly prevalent. 

To this day, Jordan still plays an important role in the design, process, and other parts of the brand. The Jordan Brand’s Air Jordan repertoire is prominent in all aspects of fashion, with some of its most iconic silhouettes being the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 4, Air Jordan 5, and many more. These designs are more popular than ever before. First released in 1989 and the second straight shoe designed by Tinker Hatfield, the Air Jordan 4 was first worn on the feet of Michael Jordan during the iconic Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers game where with six seconds left in the game, Jordan shoots ‘the shot,’ a legendary buzzer-beating move that became one of the most memorable moments of the athlete’s career. Wearing the Air Jordan 4 ‘Bred’ silhouette, this athletic moment paired with the sneaker he was wearing propelled him along his athletic and fashion journey.

With that, the Jordan Brand introduces its latest Air Jordan 4 silhouette: ‘Canyon Purple.’ This stand-out footwear silhouette ditches the traditional leather and nubuck conversation and replaces it with a premium shaggy suede upper. Contrasting accents come in the form of speckled eyelets and midsole. The woven tongue tag proudly displays a Jumpman logo, while the contrasting hues at the molded Wings and Jumpman-embossed heel tab make a further impression. Under the design is a signature herringbone-traction rubber outsole.
