FEATURE In The Vault: Our Staff's Favorite Graphics
Haven Neiman
Since FEATURE was established over 12 years ago in the off-strip gem of Las Vegas, we pride ourselves on cultivating a movement of music, fashion, and art. Along with offering some of the most exclusive products in the country, we also take great pride in our in-house label FEATURE. While FEATURE has its own ready-to-wear apparel line, home goods offerings, and even shoe collaborations, our ongoing FEATURE graphics offerings set themselves apart from the everyday graphic tee. Including collaborations with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Las Vegas-based businesses such as Carrie Lynn’s Plants, Fukuburger, and On The Arm, our ongoing graphics offerings also include celebrating notable events and holidays like Women’s History Month and Earth Day. Keep reading below to go back in time and discover some of our staff’s favorite FEATURE graphics.
Gerald - Graphic Designer
Favorite Graphics: FEATURE x UNLV Summer 2019 Capsule
FEATURE’s ongoing collaboration with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas began in late 2018, and since then this collaboration has continued to introduce apparel and headwear capsules each year. Our Junior Graphic Designer, Gerald, chose the FEATURE x UNLV Summer 2019 Capsule as his favorite FEATURE graphics. This specific capsule nodded to the Runnin Rebels’ 1990 NCAA Championship win that was presented on apparel such as headwear, tees, and shorts. “The capsule itself meant a lot to me. I saw my favorite boutique collaborating with the university I attended. I enjoyed how the graphics captured the feeling of the Runnin Rebels!” says Gerald.
Will - Product Designer
Favorite Graphics: FEATURE ‘Women Are Essential’ Capsule
This spring, we at FEATURE continued introducing capsules honoring important holidays and months, such as Women’s History Month. We honored this historic month by introducing our exclusive ‘Women Are Essential’ Capsule, which was Will’s graphics pick. “I designed these graphics for International Women’s Day. The women in my life inspired it, and I know others share the same sentiments about the women in their own lives. To all the moms, girlfriends, nieces, aunties, and more, we appreciate you,” says Will. The ‘Women Are Essential’ Capsule consisted of two graphic tees that spotlighted women’s empowerment: The FEATURE Beauty & Strength Tee and the FEATURE Butterfly Tee. Both tees are premium in their aesthetic and include a blend of screen-printed and puff-printed graphics and phrasing that reference the historic month.
Kevin - District Manager
Favorite Graphics: FEATURE ‘Rock the Mic’ Collection
First introduced in 2016, our exclusive ‘Rock The Mic’ Collection was inspired by iconic band tour tees that fused renowned hip-hop groups together, all of which illustrated a unique twist of vintage music designs. Continuing through 2018, this premium collection of band tees references FEATURE’s core DNA of fashion, music, and art. These tees featured artists such as Outkast, A Tribe Called Quest, The Fugees, De La Soul, and more. This graphic series’ music inspiration and classic vintage band inspiration is why this collection was our District Manager Kevin’s all-time favorite FEATURE graphics. Kevin explains, “Everything from the choice of artists to the lookbook was on point!”
Nikka - Creative Manager
Favorite Graphics: FEATURE ‘Godspeed Tee’
Our Creative Manager takes us in a simpler direction with her favorite graphics pick, the FEATURE Godspeed Tee. Introduced in the summer of 2019, this cotton-cut graphic tee takes on true summer inspiration that can be accredited to its vibrant colors and unique screen-printed applications. The screen-printed Lamborghini at the front paired with the FEATURE script branding below it and the phrase ‘Godspeed’ printed at the rear makes a notable statement. “This graphic is definitely different compared to all of our other graphics. I like how the Lamborghini is printed in a simple style as well as the ‘Godspeed’ phrasing at the back,” says Nikka.
PJ - Creative Director
Favorite Graphics: FEATURE Horizon
Brought onto the FEATURE graphics scene in early 2021, our FEATURE Horizon Tee and FEATURE Horizon Hoodie are our Creative Director PJ’s favorite graphics pick. Drawing inspiration from the ‘80s, these graphics saw dimensional artwork and retro designs that pay homage to the iconic decade. Primary colors and bold dimensional designs paired with our signature ‘All Things Good’ branding mantra spotlight the graphic offerings. PJ explains, “I like the bubbliness of the graphic. It’s nice to see something playful with bubble letters and gradients. The eyes just help add to the playfulness.”
