What started as a dream became a reality in 2000 when two young Venetian designers, Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo, introduced the Golden Goose fashion label to the world. A name derived from one of Aesop's Fables, "The Goose that Laid the Golden Eggs," is supposed to be associated with luck. Footwear label Golden Goose prides itself on Italian craftsmanship by offering a premium footwear brand for men and women while intertwining inspiration from west coast skateboarding combined with Italian craftsmanship's refined and modern aesthetics. Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo consider Golden Goose to be inspired by Italian heritage and the warmth of the artisanal craft. With their handmade shoes that feature strong attention to detail, their rebellious origin began when they wanted to rebel against traditional fashion paradigms. By intersecting modern styles with vintage detailing, Golden Goose has gained notable popularity since its early beginnings, and has instilled a solid reputation for their iconic Superstar sneaker model.

Golden Goose's founders wanted their sneakers to be a world apart from traditional brands and bright silhouettes gaining traction. Sneakers were a diary to them, and they should be 'perfectly imperfect.' This motto started what would be a long legacy of premium distressed sneakers. By embodying the Japanese concept of 'knitsukori,' meaning that objects look better with more wear and tear, Golden Goose sneakers come fresh out of the box, brand new, but look vintage and worn in. Each shoe is handmade from authentic leather directly in Venice, Italy, with great attention to detail and also receives hand-applied scuffs and distressing that further emphasize its vintage aesthetic. Each leather sneaker is treated with a signature Golden Goose star on the side panel, and that same motif can also be seen spread throughout their vast selection of apparel and headwear. 

"Perfect Imperfection"

 First introduced to Golden Goose's repertoire in 2007, the iconic Golden Goose Super-Star leather sneaker has received countless variations and renditions since its origin. Each scuff and distressing varies, while additional details throughout the silhouette vary. In the Golden Goose Women's Super-Star seen in Light Silver/White/Taupe, the leather silhouette features suede detailing along with Golden Goose gold foil branding at the side panel. A zebra print is placed within the signature stitched star, while the removable inner sole provides additional comfort. Distressing and scuff marks are placed throughout, nodding to the brand's vintage origins. As for the Golden Goose Women's Hi Star, while leopard print appears at the heel tab. A signature star is placed, while the platform rubber outsole offers height and a slight twist on the traditional silhouette.

A selection of apparel is also featured in the latest delivery from Golden Goose. The Golden Goose Star Zipped Track Jacket elevates the standard design, as it features polyester construction for optimal breathability during all times of wear. The funnel-neck incorporates a full-zip closure, while the primary spotlight of the design is the screen-printed star stripes at the sleeves and the signature branding placed at the chest. For a slight upgrade on the traditional tee, the Golden Goose M's Regular T-Shirt is sleek in its aesthetic. Featuring a complete cotton-cut design, the silhouette includes a crew neckline and a screen-printed logo at the chest which displays half of a signature Golden Goose star.
