Celebrating Western American, Palm Angels FW20 Is Available Now
Marissa Villamor
Founded in 2015 by Italian designer Francesco Ragazzi, Palm Angeles bridges the gap between American and Italian culture through the eyes of Ragazzi. The idea of Palm Angels was born from a photography project by Ragazzi in which he photographed a skateboarder in the backdrop of the Venice sunset and palm trees. The image created a halo around the skater’s head, thus the idea of Palm Angels was born.
Palm Angel is inspired by Los Angeles skateboarding culture and photography. The label produces classic street silhouettes with preppy tailoring, provocative slogans and gold-tone accent colors. Well known for its iconic tracksuits, Palm Angeles combines both streetwear and luxury wear into one.
A love for Western Americana, Ragazzi delivers a Fall Winter 2020 collection inspired by the Wild Wild West. Motifs from Clint Eastwood’s The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, can be seen throughout with Palm Angels branding. Signature graphics seen throughout the collection include Palm Angels Desert Skull Tee, which includes an image of mountain ranges with a desert skeleton. The Fall delivery includes a mix of classic silhouettes from graphic t-shirts to swim shorts and Palm Angels iconic tracksuit in Fall colorways. Other items in the collection include baseball caps and beanies. Other notable items in the delivery include a Clarks Wallabee Suede x Palm Angels in lilac and black.
