WTF! Happened: SWV

4

Sisters With Voices, better known as SWV consisted of three friends Cheryl Gamble, Tamara Johnson and Leanne Lyons. The three became one of the most successful R&B groups of the 1990's featuring some of their hit singles such as "Weak", "Right Here/Human Nature" and "I'm So Into You". Their debut album, It's About Time, was released by RCA records and managed to reach a certified triple platinum recognition. After three more studio albums, the group disbanded in 1998 to pursue solo careers. Cheryl released a solo album but did not reach the same success as she did with the band. The other two members remained idle until 2005, when the group decided to reunite. Touring with many of their peers such as, Bobby Brown, Blackstreet and New Edition led the girls into getting the ball rolling once again. In 2011, they released a studio album entitled I Missed Us and became the number one R&B album on iTunes.
