Originally starting in the club industry and then shifting to styling athletes, Jerry Lorenzo’s passion for fashion was always a constant in his life. While styling some of the most notable athletes in the world (which can be accredited to the connection he made in the club industry along with his strong familial ties to the world of baseball), Lorenzo quickly realized that the high-quality minimalist staples he desired for not only his clients, but his own, wasn’t available in the current industry. This realization is what spearheaded the official launch of what we now know as Fear of God in 2013. Often considered a contemporary luxury streetwear label, Fear of God has garnered the likes of millions worldwide, even capturing the attention of notable celebrities such as the late Virgil Abloh, Ye (formerly known as Kanye West), and Michele Alessandro. Fear of God’s intent is to elevate the softness of sportswear with the complex intensity of expert tailoring.

At the height of Fear of God, Lorenzo was drawn to the concept of creating a sub-label of Fear of God that more aligned with a heightened sense of accessibility while still blending the energies of streetwear, contemporary, and premium yet minimal fashion aesthetics. Launched in 2018, Fear of God Essentials is a must-have everyday apparel brand that mixes and matches Fear of God’s mainline garments while still delivering high-end and simplistic apparel basics. By playing with a different blend of textures and layers while still drawing from Lorenzo’s original Fear of God design concepts, these ready-to-wear silhouettes are made for men, women, and kids. Common offerings seen within each Fear of God Essentials collection include items such as tees, hoodies, crewnecks, sweaters, and cardigans.

With that, Fear of God Essentials introduces its latest kid’s collection: The Core Collection. The Fear of God Essentials Kids Pullover Crewneck is a must-have apparel essential. The silhouette features a cotton and polyester fleece construction which offers optimal comfort and breathability. The design proudly displays subtle screen-printed branding at the chest and sleeve, while ribbed detailing resides at the trims. An additional rubberized label makes an appearance behind the neckline for a completed aesthetic. Paired perfectly with the crewneck is the Fear of God Essentials Kid’s Sweatshort. Also crafted from a blend of cotton and polyester fleece, this premium everyday apparel item spotlights screen-printed branding at the left thigh. The elastic drawstring waistband allows you to adjust the fit to your liking, while the side pockets add a functional finish.
