New Arrivals

What first began with a hand-sewn denim poncho sold directly off his back to Johnny Depp’s stylist has since turned into a household fashion label that overlaps between a streetwear label, neighborhood tailor, and vintage store. Founded by Josue Thomas in 2017, Gallery Dept. is a unisex clothing brand based in Los Angeles, California. Josue Thomas is an artist and designer, and his love of fashion began at an early age as he closely watched his parents’ raw creative skills. His keen eye, paired with his passion for garment-making, contributed to his inevitable talent in Gallery Dept. Gallery Dept.’s home office includes their retail storefront, which references an actual gallery department. At this location, all of the designing, production, and branding come into play for the premium vintage streetwear brand.

Gallery Dept. continuously creates vintage-inspired apparel that elevates any everyday apparel collection. This apparel ranges from their signature flared jeans, denim jackets, t-shirts to hoodies, crewnecks, and sweatpants. One of the stand-out pieces in this new collection is the Gallery Dept. Art That Kills Rev Crewneck. Composed of cotton, this premium reversible silhouette is made for a boxy fit. The design authentically displays the brand’s repurposed tendencies, as the faded screen-printed branding on both sides. A subtle crew neckline is placed, while additional ribbed detailing is seen at the cuffs—additionally, the Gallery Dept. Stop Being Racist Tee is also composed of cotton and is made for a boxy fit. The silhouette features a subtle crew neckline and screen-printed phrasing at the chest.

Another stand-out item featured in Gallery Dept.’s new delivery is the Riley Anorak Jacket. This premium outerwear item authentically displays reworked vintage aesthetics. Composed of cotton, the silhouette is made for a relaxed fit and features a snap button hood for functionality. The design utilizes authentic vintage military camo, the silhouette is also treated with a woven brand patch at the left cuff. Snap cuffs are also placed, while the bungee hem adds a functional detail. The screen-printed branding at the front and rear tie together the remainder of the silhouette.
