John Ojo is the Los Angeles-based founder of Little Africa, the emerging ‘Soul Made Global’ lifestyle brand that brings the founders’ African roots and Angeleno existence together. Cleverly creating a new meaning to the acronym 'LA.' Little Africa was born with the intent to celebrate the ideologies, culture, imagery, figures, and sayings of both identities for the first-generation Nigerian Americans who reside in Los Angeles. Fusing funk and soul within each piece, the label intends to give the youth a new look at classic moments in our culture.
Now available at FEATURE, Little Africa’s collection of apparel is composed of tees, crewnecks + hoodies. Their garments lend themselves to their expert craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail. The vintage-style t-shirts have a double-needle stitching on the neck and trims add to the structure. An enzyme wash is applied to each tee to give a heavy broken-in feel. The Varsity Crewneck in Heather Grey is highlighted by the 12oz USA cotton used with a flatlock seam for a clean construction. The handmade Chenille patch and cross-grain cut chest and back panels add to the structure.
The goal is to give the people of the world an understanding of the universe that fashioned, molded, and refined founder John Ojo through the words, imagery, music, and energy that indoctrinated him. Their motto is to “Let Soul and Funk exist with all, Let’s All Get To That, Jack!”
