Nike Women's Lahar Low Releases 1/1

Chelsie Rendon

Nike’s designs have ranged from traditional sports to high-fashion. Throughout their time they’ve created iconic sneakers beloved by the public in hopes to obtain a pair when they are re-released. They have created shoes to withstand weather conditions but also have solely focused on hiking as it has tailored needs. Nike will be bringing back the Lahar Low with a modern style relating to today’s taste. When it was first introduced, in 1989, the shoe was made for women to hike in. The hiking shoe is now reinvented for the streets. A contemporary and casual look has been given to the silhouette for everyday use.

The well-anticipated shoe will be released in two color ways: an all-black and Nike’s “Wheat.” Whichever color is desired, both have an all thick leather upper along with accents of metal hardware from the lace loops to the aglets. A thick rubber sole is a nod to the hiking shoes’ original origins now adapted for casual wear. Thick rounded laces and a helpful back strap are added for a rustic touch. Subtle branding can be located embroidered along the walls of the shoes.
