Nike Dunk Low 'Valentine's Day' Release February 7th

Haven Neiman

First making its debut as a high-top basketball sneaker in 1985, the Nike Dunk became best known for its vibrant color schemes and ties to some of the most prominent universities in the world. The design’s simplistic color blocking aesthetic has made an impression, especially with the silhouette’s recent revival over the past few years. Unifying concepts of pop culture, fashion, music, and art with its unconventional and non-linear story, the Nike Dunk has been adopted by a variety of different subcultures throughout its lifespan.

With thousands of colorways being released for the Nike Dunk, the silhouette is commonly seen treated with holiday-inspired iterations, and Valentine’s Day receives no exception. Arriving in a blend of Pale Ivory, Medium Soft Pink, and Night Maroon colors, the love-inspired sneaker takes on a premium leather build that offers a durable aesthetic. Color blocking is seen throughout, making an impression throughout the exterior of the Valentine's Day sneaker. Mesh tongues are provided for added dimension, while Pale Ivory can be found at the overlays and midsoles. The tumbled leather profile Swooshes connect to the branded rear heel tabs. The pink tongue labels make an impression along with the insole branding, Swooshes, and heels sitting upon a milky midsole and colored rubber outsole. Perforations can be found at the toe box, providing a breathable finish.
