CACT.US CORP Collection

Rapper Travis Scott always had a passion for music. It’s what brought him to Los Angeles from his home state of Texas and began what we now know as an iconic music career. Born with the name Jacques Bermon Webster, Travis Scott’s original ties to music started when he moved to Los Angeles in 2011 and signed a record deal with Epic Records a year later. He worked as a producer alongside Kanye West and released his debut album ‘Rodeo’ in 2015. As he continued to rise in his ranks, he would grow to collaborate with artists such as Drake in his most famous hit ‘Sicko Mode’ from his third studio album ‘Astroworld.’ Aside from his music career, his brand often referred to as ‘Cactus Jack’ or ‘La Flame’ which references his home town of Houston, Texas and the amount of desert that comprises it. His unique business mindset, paired with his massive stardom, set the stage for his ongoing collaboration with various projects.

‘Cactus Jack’ is involved in many projects, and Travis Scott’s creative mindset has been applied to these collaborations. Travis Scott’s ‘The Travis Scott’ Combo at McDonald’s and involvement with PlayStation in the role of Strategic Creative Partner are some of his most famous, although the rapper has collaborated with other entities such as BAPE, Helmut Lang, Ksubi, Yves Saint Laurent, Readymade, Reese’s Puffs, Fortnite, and most notably, Nike. What initially began as a teaser in 2017 as just a friends and family sneaker, the Travis Scott x Nike Trunner LX never made it to the public. But this mysterious silhouette started the initial hype around the ongoing Travis Scott x Nike collaboration. The first official Travis Scott x Nike sneaker was released in December of 2017 as the Travis Scott x Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘AF100,’ in honor of the iconic silhouette’s 35th anniversary.

Since the first sneaker release of the ongoing collaboration, other iconic silhouettes featured in the Travis Scott x Nike collab include the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 4, Air Jordan 1,  Air Jordan 1 Low, and Air Jordan 6. Nike and Travis Scott now introduce their latest collaborative silhouette placed on the Nike Air Trainer 1. The Nike Air Trainer 1 x Travis Scott CACT.US CORP is featured in ‘Grey Haze’ + ‘Wheat’ colorways. Featuring a blend of corduroy and mesh within the upper, the vivid details of this sneaker include its matching protective and removable sheaths paired with the zipper pockets at the rear. The iconic reverse Swoosh is placed at the sides, while the rubber tongue badges are treated with ‘CACT.US CORPORATION’ branding at the forefoot straps and heel. The rubber outsole ties together the remainder of the silhouette.

Travis Scott also introduces the Nike Air Max 1 x Travis Scott CACT.US CORP. Featured in two colorways, this premium sneaker makes a statement within nay collection. The silhouette spotlights a mesh upper paired with leather overlays and a nubuck mudguard, while the hiker-style laces and iconic reverse Swoosh emphasizes this one-of-a-kind sneaker. Woven straps are integrated within the laces and heel overlays. A triangular patch is placed as well while being intertwined with signature Cactus Jack branding. The foam midsole adds optimal comfort and is paired with the Air-sole cushioning. The waffle-traction rubber outsole underneath completes the rest of the sneaker.
