Wang dropped out of Parsons School of Design during his second year and launched the label in 2004 at the age of 19. Since then he has taken the fashion industry by storm and has become one of the most well-known designers.  Alexander Wang describes his design style as MOD: Model off Duty. His label can be defined as cool, grungy and encompasses utilitarian designs. In the Fall of 2007, Wang launched his first women’s ready to wear collection at New York Fashion Week. In 2009, Wang started the label “T by Alexander Wang” which focused on basics such as t-shirts, tank tops and more.  Wang has a long history in the fashion industry and has been named Swarovski Women’s wear Designer of the Year, CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner in 2008, the Swiss Textiles Award and more. Wang was also the creative director at Balenciaga. Alexander Wang can be seen worn on the backs of many high profile celebrities including Kanye West, Rihanna, Travis Scott and more. In 2018, Wang started working with Adidas on an ongoing collaboration consisting of sneakers and apparel.
