Fear of God Essentials started when Jerry Lorenzo, who had just recently transitioned from club promoting to styling athletes, discovered that the premium apparel he wanted his clients to wear wasn’t readily available in the current fashion market. With that, he noticed the same within his wardrobe. This realization eventually catapulted us into what we now know as Fear of God, which Lorenzo initially brought into the world in 2013. Garnering the likes of millions worldwide, the premium and luxury streetwear label caught the eyes of celebrities such as the late Virgil Abloh, Kanye West, and Michele Alessandro. Within Fear of God’s repertoire, the brand continuously crafts classic designs that elevate the comfort of sportswear while still implementing expert tailoring.

Fast forward 5 years later—Fear of God is at its peak and continues to grow and capture fans across the globe. But Jerry Lorenzo wanted to add something new, specifically a more casual and accessible sub-label that still referenced the primary aesthetics of Fear of God. The conclusion to this idea was the concept of Fear of God Essentials. This sub-label crafts similar offerings while utilizing straightforward branding. Fear of God Essentials mixes and matches its mainline garments while still embodying simplistic yet high-end detailing. Throughout each season, Fear of God Essentials continues to offer apparel such as tees, hoodies, crewnecks, sweaters, cardigans, sweatpants, shorts, and more.

This new delivery introduces a selection of must-have everyday apparel. Perfect for any athleisure apparel rotation, the Fear of God Essentials Running Short makes an impression. The design is composed entirely of premium nylon, resulting in a breathable and comfortable experience. Side pockets are placed for added functionality, while the elastic waistband offers additional comfort. The rubberized label at the front wraps up the remainder of the design. Another stand-out silhouette is the Fear of God Essentials 1977 Coaches Jacket. Perfect for transitional weather, the design features a premium blend of cotton and polyester and includes a pointed collar. The snap button closure offers a secure touch, while the ribbed detailing at the cuffs and adjustable hem provide even more functionality. Screen-printed branding makes an impression at the rear.
