Rhuigi Villaseñor has redefined ready-to-wear with his vintage Americana designs and pattern-heavy garments. Since its inception in 2015, Rhude has captivated the world of streetwear and has transitioned into becoming one of the leading brands in high fashion for men. Villaseñor is committed to providing top-quality clothing and growing his brand into a variety of outlets. Commonly seen on basketball players and music icons, the brand is extending its boundaries to the world of motorsport with its Fall/Winter 2021 collection. As an attempt to expand beyond premium ready-to-wear, the collection includes proper lifestyle garments that evoke a sense of sophistication.
Automotive culture is heavily referenced within the collection as Villaseñor partners with McLaren during the capsule’s development. Paying homage to Bruce McLaren’s iconic history with Formula 1, the delivery includes redefined paddock fashion that incorporates Rhude’s casual aesthetic. A mash-up of collegiate and road-ready styles is featured throughout the garments expressing a championship finish.
A range of graphic tees makes their debut this season following the automotive theme with new imagery and rendered branding. The World Champion Tee combines motorsport with signature branding for a casual look that can be worn in a variety of settings. Constructed with a washed cotton fabric, the tee includes flush imagery at the base and a comfortable ribbed crewneck. Similar cues are transferred to other graphics as seen with the Motorsports Tee in Black. Following a more classic design, the tee introduces a Mclaren-inspired emblem highlighting the cherished partnership between Rhude and the manufacturer. The Motor Crest Hoodie is a stand-out piece within the collection as well as it perfectly blends previous Rhude styles with racing attributes. Constructed from vintage-washed cotton, the garment includes artwork at the chest that coincides with the printed pattern along the sleeves. Functional attributes include intricately stitched trims and a kangaroo pocket for added leisure.
The brand’s signature Rhude Logo Shorts are featured in new colorways as seen with the Olive version. Following traditional construction, the design includes a nylon base and polyester mesh for enhanced breathability. Printed branding is placed boldly at the front while zippered closures offer a secure experience. These shorts can be paired with an array of accessories including socks and headwear. The Podium Hat is a great addition to lineups as it is introduced in three colorways- black, maroon, and blue. Each hat is designed with distinct gold embroidery placed at the base and on top of the brim. A blend of cotton and twill emphasizes its luxe heritage while a snapback closure can be adjusted to your particular style. Coinciding with the hat, a variety of socks are added to the brand’s repertoire. The Scramble Logo Sock matches nicely with the Podium Hat as its jacquard-stitched artwork is placed on the rib-knit collar of the sock. Composed of a blend of fabrics, the socks include a cushioned midfoot and a snug fit for a comfortable experience.
