Bape (A Bathing Ape)

BAPE, otherwise known as A Bathing Ape, was born in the heart of Harajuku, Japan in 1993. Having been a symbol of Japanese streetwear fashion for more than 29 years, BAPE is well-regarded as one of the most coveted fashion labels globally. Considered one of Japan’s original streetwear brands, BAPE was founded by Nigo, a notorious fan of 20th-century pop culture. BAPE’s name is inspired by the 1968 film Planet of the Apes, hence its iconic BAPE logo. Nigo is a pioneer when it comes to hype streetwear and lifestyle, as BAPE’s signature monkey head, shark hoodie, Bape sta, and unmistakable camo design are common threads throughout each of the brand’s apparel offerings. Some of these offerings include t-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, sweaters, crewnecks, and more.
