The Dassler brothers, Rudolf and Adolf, started the German-based Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory in the early 40s. Shortly after beginning the factory, the two went their separate ways. Adolf went on to found Adidas, while Rudolf went on to found the sports brand ‘Ruda,’ which would eventually be changed to ‘Puma.’ To Rudolf Dassler, the puma represents three primary characteristics: speed, strength, agility, and endurance. Since its early establishment, Puma has catapulted into one of the most recognizable and iconic sportswear brands in the industry. In 1968, Puma began expanding into sportswear apparel, including hoodies, leggings, sweatshirts, t-shirts, and more  Puma sneakers were all treated with the iconic Puma formstrip. Some of the most iconic Puma shoes include the Puma Speedcat, Blaze of Glory, Suede, Motorsport, Calibrate, and much more. Puma is also well-known for its iconic collaborations with brands and celebrities such as Liberty, AMI, Dua Lipa, and TMC.
