Run Star Motion
Release July 1st
Since 1908, Converse has been a go-to sneaker in many closets as its iconic design can be worn in varied settings. When Converse initially made their debut, they were known for their Chuck Taylor All-Star sneaker. This sneaker started off as a basketball shoe and slowly evolved into an everyday silhouette that some people live by. We’ve seen introductions of new models over time from Converse as they all take cues from the original. From the Crater Knit to the Net Star Classic, they all revert to the OG silhouettes and offer a sense of nostalgia. But since its debut in 2018, the Run Star Hike has become an instant hit between streetwear and fashion enthusiasts.
Its unique design has become prominent as of late due to its redefined platform sneaker hybrid. The distinct style began its growth within the fashion industry as it became very common to see fashion stylists, photographers, and producers wearing the progressive style. It redefined what a sneaker could be and essentially balanced comfort with style without compromising on quality construction. In addition to its rise within fashion, many started casually wearing them due to its Y2K nostalgic finish. Its chunky sole and unconventional design reminded many of signature styles within the early 2000s and this was a way to highlight the style in modern times. The footwear label introduced a collaborative project with British fashion label, JW Anderson, on exclusive designs of the Run Star- growing the silhouette globally. The unconventional sneaker has become a staple and recently, Converse has introduced the latest version of the sneaker titled, ‘Run Star Motion.’
The latest rendition of the shoe introduces a new way of comfort with Converse’s CX foam midsole. This elevated design enhances comfort with each stride with its lightweight construction while absorbing outer forces. Its next-level performance is emphasized with an expressive rugged outsole. Sculptural traction lugs give you an even taller stance while providing ultimate traction with each step. Debuting in both a white and black colorway, both of the silhouettes are contrasted by gum-colored detailing at the toe and the iconic Converse star branding at the collar. Functional elements that are featured within its built include an organic canvas upper, a heel pull tab, and full-length lace closure. Converse perfectly blends the retro style with modern fashion for a timeless style that can be appreciated by all sneaker fans.
