Gentle Monster is a South-Korean eyewear brand founded in 2011 by Hankook Kim. Created on the idea of high-end experimentation, the label has since expanded into an international brand with its elegant silhouettes and universal designs. With over 50 ongoing silhouettes and over 20 new designs every year, Gentle Monster has eyewear suitable for anyone for any season. 

Focused on innovative designs, the optical glasses brand offers a variety of sunglasses from avant-garde to classic designs while incorporating both playfulness and elegance into its designs. Each pair of sunglasses embodies a different perspective perfect to satisfy anyone’s need. Since its inception, the label had gained notoriety from a handful of high-profile brands. Most recently, Gentle Monster has partnered with Grammy-winning artist, producer and DJ Diplo on their “Space Cowboy” campaign releasing four different shades. 

The Gentle Monster x Diplo capsule brings together both classical and contemporary styles with a modern design and functionality. The collection features a total of four different shades; two aviator frames in two different colorways. The styles, the Lone Wolf and The Cub, are made with lightweight premium titanium decorated with soft groove details and detachable clips. The sunglasses also feature adjustable dials for temple length customization – a new approach to eyewear design by Gentle Monster. Included with the sunglasses are eyewear cases that come with a special printed handwritten note and signature from Diplo.

The Lone Wolf frames are titanium aviator sunglasses with a clip-on attachment in two different colorways; orange and green. The 100% UV protected lenses allow for a seamless transition from glasses to sunglasses. The temples also feature grooved details with a dial for temple length customization. 

The Cub frames are round titanium sunglasses with a clip-on attachment in two different colors; blue-green and red gradient. The 100% UV protected lenses allow for a seamless transition from glasses to sunglasses. The temples also feature grooved details with a dial for temple length customization.
