NBA All-Star Player Russell Westbrook put himself at the forefront of the fashion industry in 2017 when the fashion label Honor The Gift made its initial debut to the world. Westbrook, who still acts as the Creative Director of the brand, founded Honor The Gift on the self-belief and dedication to never stop working towards your greatness no matter the hardship. Westbrook has always been an enthusiastic fan of fashion, and his label pays homage to his growing up in the Los Angeles area and after his personal faith. Honor The Gift represents a personal promise to honor your personal gift and continuously produces thoughtfully-designed apparel that takes on a vintage-inspired aesthetic.
With that, Honor The Gift introduces its new Fall 2022 ‘District’ collection. Inspired by the Unified School Districts of Los Angeles, this premium collection commemorates Russell Westbrook’s first two collections, ‘Private’ + ‘Public.’ The concept of the Inner City Student is revived in these new arrivals. A collegiate-inspired color story and graphics are heavily seen throughout the design, while the overall collection analyzes the aesthetics of both public and private schools. Honor The Gift’s Fall 2022 ‘District’ juxtaposes the lifestyles between public and private schools, while simultaneously displaying the combined identity between the two worlds.
One of the first stand-out apparel pieces from the new collection is the Honor The Gift HTG Prep Short. Introduced in Black and Tan colorways, the silhouette is composed of a premium polyester and wool blend. Belt loops are placed for a functional touch along with a zip fly for a secure fit. Side pockets are added along with dual rear pockets for even more functionality. At the waistband is a woven Honor The Gift label that rounds out the remainder of the design. The Honor the Gift Nightshift S/S Tee is composed of jersey cotton and offers a comfortable and breathable experience. A crew neckline is provided for additional detail. Faded screen-printed Honor The Gift branding takes up the chest for further spotlighting. Additional faded screen-printed cityscape night-inspired graphics are seen at the bottom portion of the design, offering a unique aesthetic to this must-have.
Featured in Black and Grey colorways, the Honor The Gift 2016 S/S Tee is a must-have tee for any fall collection. The silhouette is cut entirely from premium jersey cotton for optimal breathability and comfort. A crew neckline makes an additional appearance. Embroidered Honor The Gift branding is seen at the front, directly with embroidered peace-like imagery. At the rear is faded screen-printed phrasing and typography that takes up the entirety of the rear.
