Founded by Alex James in 2015, Los Angeles-based streetwear label PLEASURES embodies intense punk, grunge, and rock-n-roll aesthetics. With their motto being “A mood. An emotion. An altered state of being,” PLEASURES transforms inspirations of 90s subcultures and the DIY lifestyle into clothing that evokes strong feelings of nostalgia. From t-shirts to hoodies, the brand is heavily graphic based. Founder Alex James grew up in New Jersey and would take the train to New York City to explore stores, which grew into him working retail jobs. The innovator eventually grew to sell clothes from estate sales online and then founding what is now known as PLEASURES. As the former brand director at Thorocraft and Publish Brand, James is well-versed in blazing pathways and cutting through the noise with clothing that makes a bold statement.

PLEASURES believes that real pleasures begin with your clothing, and this stance is heavily prevalent in the label’s most recent delivery. The collection incorporates a wide variety of bold and eccentric everyday apparel that is seasonally appropriate, such as tees, crewnecks, hoodies, jackets, and sweatpants. Furthering the brand’s strong grunge streetwear identity, the offerings represent explorative concepts with bold prints and graphics that are both eye-catching and unique. In addition to apparel, a selection of headwear also makes an appearance, including hats, caps, and beanies. 

The PLEASURES Stretch T-Shirt upgrades the traditional tee with elevated aesthetics. The tee incorporates an authentic cotton construction with a rib-knit collar for authenticity featuring screen-printed branding at the chest. An additional item included in this collection that layers well with the Stretch T-Shirt is the PLEASURES Spray Cardigan. This comfortable silhouette blends seamlessly within any winter wardrobe with its fuzzy cotton and acrylic construction. The fuzzy aesthetic and the design’s all-over abstract spray dot pattern spotlight the design. Embroidered branding at the chest and for a completed and bold look. The PLEASURES Interactive Woven Pant makes a statement and are crafted entirely from cotton, providing all-day breathability. The all-over floral pants feature a straight-leg design and a fixed waist for optimal comfort.

Upgrade the traditional jacket with the PLEASURES Dynamic Work Jacket. This bold yet sleek design features a complete nylon construction with a full-zip closure and chest welt pockets. Embroidered branding at the chest is displayed, while a primary spotlight is the detailed embroidered angel and branding imagery placed at the rear. Perfect for the cooler months, the PLEASURES Innovation Reflective Beanie also completes any look. Crafted entirely from knit material, the single-fold design features a bold aesthetic with a woven branded patch logo that sits directly at the face of the design.
