Everything You Need to Know About Air Jordan 4 'Bred Reimagined'

The latest and long-awaited addition to the reimagined series, the Nike Air Jordan 4 Bred Reimagined is the most coveted sneaker of 2024. Made after Michael Jordan’s first NBA career MVP award, the Jordan brand created the series of Air Jordan 4 in the black and red, ‘Bred’, colorway. The fifth addition to the Air Jordan 4 ‘Bred’ series, the latest iteration arrives in a tumbled leather upper, an update from the original nubuck.
The original sneaker was released in 1989 and was the first sneaker to feature the Jumpman logo on the tongue of the shoe. The tenth-anniversary version is a design update from sneaker designer Tinker Hatfield, which would later flip-flop between the branding of either Nike or Jordan logos. The 2019 version of the shoe, the Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘Bred’ is the latest version before 2024’s Air Jordan 4 Bred Reimagined.
Nike’s Reimagined series takes classic sneakers and gives them a modern update without compromising the actual style itself, and the classic silhouette that the sneakers are known for. This would be no exception for the Air Jordan 4, which would follow the same practice as the previous ‘Reimagined’ styles, such as the Air Jordan 1, which would get a glossy patent leather update and a second, aged, vintage update in 2021.
For the Air Jordan 4 Reimagined update, a luxury version with tumbled black leather is the key and only difference between the 2024 version and the 2019 Retro version. The new material allows for a more custom fit, and a premium feel to the sneaker than the previous versions, which allows for a more stylish look to wear for any occasion in the same nostalgic silhouette.
Arriving in fire red, cement grey, and black, the first look at the Nike Air Jordan 4 Bred Reimagined differs from the other iterations from its tumbled black leather upper, an upgrade from the original nubuck. Crafted with a pre-distressed rubber outsole and herringbone traction pattern for grip. The release date honors Michael Jordan by releasing on his birthday, 2/17, and arrives in full family sizes.
