Cultural icon and pop art inventor, Andy Warhol, is a legend to the art and fashion community. As an advertisement designer in the 1960's his work flourished cities. Including his iconic works of art such as the Campbell's Soup Can, Marilyn Monroe, and "Gun" to name a few, his creation of the pop art movement changed the way art is created to this day. Using the silk screening technique to his advantage, Andy created paintings including many famous individuals such as, Muhammad Ali, Elvis Presley, John Lennon, Liza Minelli, Elizabeth Taylor, and Mick Jagger. Through success, there a people who do not agree with you, which led to Valerie Salanas, a radical feminist, attempt to murder Andy Warhol. Surviving the attack, Andy Warhol started created more art for many famous people. On February 22, 1987 died due to cardiac arryhtimia after his routine gallbladder surgery.
