German-based sportswear brand Puma was established in the mid-1900s by Rudolf Hassler. Highly revered for its premium sneakers and apparel, the lifestyle brand is recognized by its signature Puma Cat and Puma Formstrip branding insignia. Over the years, the label has expanded into sportswear and elevated athleisure apparel. Additionally, the brand has been gaining massive popularity for collaborating with renowned designers and brands like Dua Lipa, TMC, Liberty, AMI, Rhuigi Villaseñor, and most recently, PLEASURES.

PLEASURES is an iconic streetwear label established by Alex James. Emphasizing ‘90s aesthetics, the brand takes on a street culture-inspired aesthetic and defines ‘real pleasure’ as ‘A mood. An altered state of being.’ This iconic brand often references authentic grunge aesthetics and consistently utilizes heavy graphics on everyday apparel like t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, and more. Puma and PLEASURES are joining for the first time on their debut collaborative design, presented on the Puma Velophasis. PLEASURES takes on a unique approach to the 2000s-inspired hybrid running silhouette. The sneaker nods to Puma’s origins, translated in graphics and imagery placed within the sneaker, and takes inspiration from Puma’s entire heritage performance running range. The bold and Y2K-inspired sneaker utilizes an overdyed textile upper and synthetic overlays for added dimension. The silhouette features a lace-up aesthetic, padded collar, and mesh lining for added comfort. Vintage styling meets technology in this must-have sneaker. The extra-chunky rubber outsole offers added dimension and functionality. The Puma branding paired with the semi-translucent cage completes the remainder of the must-have design.
