Making its debut in the early ‘40s, Puma started as a shoe factory run by two brothers. The brothers eventually went their separate ways, with one establishing Adidas, with the other founding Puma. Since its early beginnings, Puma has become one of the industry's most recognizable and iconic sportswear brands. 

The brand is well-versed in its sportswear apparel and footwear. With that, Puma is releasing its new sneaker design: Velophasis Phased. This hybrid sneaker is inspired by 2000s running heritage and references the brand’s legendary COMPLETE line. The design is reimagined to create something new and authentic, resulting in a techy and dynamic look that makes an impression. Puma ultimately allowed the brand to develop its revolutionary technologies, such as iCELL, e+CELL, and EverRide, continuously used by runners worldwide. Puma Velophasis builds on the brand’s heritage while still utilizing aspects of Y2K culture through progressivity. The Puma Velophasis Phased sneaker arrives in three colorways and is based on a contemporary aesthetic. It builds on its running heritage while infusing new materials and ideas better suited for the world as we currently know it.

Spotlighting a metallic look with cream and electro blue inserts, the design references the Vaporwave movement and the 2000s Internet culture with bright tones. The design features an open mesh upper paired with a synthetic eyestay and overlays with printed and embossed lines. The design is vegan in its entire construction. The design incorporates a translucent molded TPU piece and a SOFTFOAM+ sockliner that adds optimal cushioning and comfort with each step. The CMEVA midsole also makes an impression. A synthetic leather Puma Formstrip arrives, incorporating an array of printed and embossed lines throughout the exterior of the silhouette. Signature Puma wordmark and Velophasis typography can also be found on the tongue. The new Puma Velophasis Phased arrives in three colorways: White/Porcelain, Cool Light Grey/Chili Powder, and Black/Intense Lavender.
