Staple streetwear label Stüssy was founded in 1980 by former surfer Shawn Stüssy. His namesake label started when he began screening t-shirts and shorts for his friends, which is where he started writing his surname in a graffiti-influenced style. Shawn fell into the clothing business through his deep-rooted love for surfing while shaping his boards for friends and locals in Laguna Beach. As Shawn’s surname business grew, he hit the road quickly in the late 80s and began setting up showrooms in New York City and California to display his apparel. The apparel intertwines concepts of surf culture, skating, and music, and the designs presented in each offering touched on underground subculture references that deeply resonated with him. To Shawn, anyone can have a brand. His brand specifically grew when contemporary pop culture shifts were taking place, making it the perfect situation to introduce a new type of apparel offering to the world of fashion. Stüssy started as a Southern California surf brand but has since been adopted by streetwear and hip-hop culture. It has redefined the look and ideology of everyday apparel, and the brand has grown from a youth movement to revolutionize the clothing industry. Defined straight from streetwear roots, Stüssy’s offerings incorporate familiar silhouettes in bold and classic designs while maintaining an everlasting truth and a strong stance in the streetwear industry. 

The second drop of Stüssy’s Holiday 2021 collection incorporates a variety of t-shirts, button-downs, trousers, sweaters, and other winter accessories that are seasonally appropriate. Inspired by the notion of ‘California cool,’ the aesthetics placed within this delivery feature a bold take on Fall and Winter staples while also keeping you warm. Versatile layering options are set throughout, including a signature series of Stüssy branded caps and beanies. Bold usage of prints such as paisley and checkered and unique materials intertwined with retro-inspired branding continue to place Stüssy as an authentic streetwear label.

The Stüssy Mossy Oak Down Puffer Jacket is the perfect layering piece, as its complete nylon construction allows for optimal comfort and breathability during all times of wear. Featuring a metal two-way zip closure, metal spring snaps also make an appearance for a secure fit. The welt pockets allow you to keep your belongings close, and the shock cord hem offers further detail to the silhouette. The interior chest pocket and embroidered Stüssy logo on the left cuff complete the look. A different approach to layering is the Stüssy Horizontal Stripe Cardigan. Crafted from a blend of nylon and acrylic, the cardigan upgrades the traditional cardigan. A half button-up closure is placed, while rib-knit details at the cuff further accentuate the authentic design. The retro-inspired silhouette is tied together with a signature woven Stüssy stock flag label at the seam.

An embroidered Stüssy stock logo comprises the front of the single-fold, while it is finished with a four-point top construction. The Stüssy Striped Pom Beanie takes on more of a holiday-inspired approach with its multi-striped design placed within its six-point top structure. Also crafted from acrylic, this comfortable and breathable silhouette is perfect for the cooler season as it incorporates a classic pom pom and cuff with an embroidered Stüssy logo tying together the look.
